House hunting in Kenya and really anywhere in the world can be a daunting task. It can be a journey filled with frustrations, disappointments and heartbreak. It is not unusual for people to lose tones of money. If you skim through news articles in the Kenyan mass media, you are likely to come across stories of injustices committed against persons innocently looking for property. We take a different transparent route with you by establishing ourselves as the bridge between potential property seekers and landlords. Below are 3 Kenyans that have been impacted by our services. They agreed to share their experience with us, and we couldn’t think of a better way of fellow Kenyans helping us grow!
1. Edison Nyangondo – Finder
Xpodd partners with finders, who are people who help property seekers get what is readily available on the market. They are people who are looking to earn a living or earn some extra cash on the side and hence pick up Finding as a side hustle. These are persons vetted and personally trained by us. We train them in small groups either at our main office in Karen or out in the field. Their work is to match the property seekers’ needs with the properties available in the market and subsequently showcase them. To register as a finder, click https://xpodd.app/finder-registration
Finder Edison registered as a finder and he was so satisfied with Xpodd that he approached us wanting to freely give a testimonial of his experience with us. His area of finding is Kibera. He is a talented young man, independent and very hard working. When he came in for vetting and subsequently training, he was very attentive and showed interest in partnering with us. He was very kind and welcomed us in his home in Kibera where we agreed to shoot his testimonial. To watch his video, click https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PejRyEIef4Y
2. Kelvin King’ori – Seeker
Being an online Freelancer, Kelvin King’ori found himself in need of a new place to stay after a sudden move from Nyeri. He experienced disappointments in his house hunting journey which he describes it all as being tedious. He found out about us while scrolling through Facebook on a comment that had been made in reference to Xpodd. He did his research on us and found out about our offices in Karen, he skimmed through many testimonials on our pages online and he decided to give it a go. He describes how relieved he was to have that responsibility lifted off him. He was so satisfied with our services that he agreed to shoot his beautiful testimonial with us at the comfort of his new home! To watch his video, click https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34B19C8bglE
3. Carol Wothaya – Seeker
Wothaya and her sister lived in Lang’ata, a location that was not serving their needs effectively. Juggling work and school at daystar in the evening, the sisters struggled with the back and forth, distance being the main issue. They decided they had had enough and decided to look for a house nearer to their place of work and also one easier to get to in the evening, when coming from their evening classes. Wothaya went online on Facebook searching for a solution to their problem. She came across Xpodd and looked us up on the web. After going through our website, she and her sister were apprehensive about making the one-time payment required when placing in a request on our app especially because they had run into scammers before. They exchanged ideas and decided to give it a go. We delivered and as they say, the rest is history! To watch her video, click https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOyGx6tpuEk
As we grow our platform to reach larger audiences, we have encountered criticisms, encouragement, rudeness but also kindness. We have welcomed all these reactions with the understanding that our journey is unique and different. As such, we strive to offer nothing short of the best to our Property Seekers and our Finders. Give us a go today and after your experience with Xpodd, we urge you to drop your testimonial here https://xpodd.com/testimonials/
